Young Engineers’ Retreat

March 4th-5th, 2022

Coed, Ages 11-16

Calling all Young Engineers! Come join us as we dive into various STEM challenges that will cover a host of science topics that focus on engineering. We can’t wait to discover some amazing truths about the Lord and the incredible world He created for us to explore! Registration is now open and we hope to see you there!

While engineering projects and Bible teaching are the focus of the weekend, we will also enjoy some indoor and outdoor camp activities throughout the weekend. Campers will stay 1 nights in our winterized retreat cabins and will enjoy 3 delicious meals and 1 evening snacks.

We have been praying all year that your child is continuing to grow in the Lord. And we are specifically praying that that this weekend will be a refreshing & fun experience that will equip your child to take on the rest of the busy school year! We hope they will come out & join us as we dig into God’s Word & focus on Him, all while having an absolute BLAST with some whacky activities around camp!

$85 per person-includes 1-night stay, Friday night hot snack, 3 meals on Saturday, and all programming. Please eat dinner prior to arrival on Friday night. Registration requires payment in full. Cancellations less than 3 days in advance will result in a loss of $85.

-Bible/Notebook/Pen

-Pillow/Sleeping Bag (Campers will stay in our winterized Cliffside cabins…they are toasty warm and have bathrooms)

-Weather Appropriate Clothing: It’s March! We can get anything from balmy sunshine to snow…please pack according to weather conditions. We’ll most likely be enjoying the outdoors regardless! Boots, jacket/coat/hat/gloves, snow gear/sled if snow is forecasted, boots/raincoat if rain is forecasted, play clothes,  etc. Extra clothes are recommended in case we get messy.

-Shoes: We recommend packing solid sneakers or hiking boots (an extra pair is a great idea!). If rain or snow is forecasted, throw in a pair of rain/snow boots if you have them.

-Toiletries/Towels

-Flashlight

-Mask

DROP OFF: 6 pm on Friday evening. Please park in the main parking lot & check-in at the Scott Building across the street (white building with green trim) for your cabin assignments & instructions.

PICK UP: 8pm on Saturday evening. Please pick your camper up at their cabin. Our goal with this timeframe is to create an opportunity for our campers and our staff to return home to attend church on Sunday with their families.

Please bring any medications your child may need in their original as prescribed containers. During drop off on Friday evening, you will have the opportunity to discuss dosage & instructions with our staff who will be issuing the medications.

Please be sure that you have noted all medications on your child’s “Retreat Health Form” online. Please bring any medications your child may need in their original as prescribed containers. Placing your dosage instructions on a 3×5 card and enclosing all medications and instructions in a ziplock bag is recommended.

We are experienced with accommodating most special dietary needs. But we need your help with making us aware of dietary restrictions & needs in advance so we can make sure your child’s mealtime experience here is great. Please fill in as much detail as possible in the special diet section of the retreat health form (part of the online registration already) & contact our Director of Food Services (Amanda at foodservice@campsankanac.org) no later than the Monday prior to the weekend to discuss the menu & substitutions.
