Attention all boys and girls ages 7-16!! These all boy and all girl camps have been running since 1941 and offer a unique camp experience! Come join us for a great week of activities, outdoor adventures, and learning more about God. Camp Sankanac runs four weeks of boys’ camp (June-July) and four weeks of girls’ camp (July-August). From creek stomping to hilarious skits, to cooking over a fire, to paintball and arrow tag, to tubing, to braving our mountain-sized water slide you don’t want to miss the outdoor adventures that await during our four weeks of boys’ or girls’ camp.

Each week of camp is tied to a different theme. The purpose of our weekly theme is to add a fun twist to the regular camp daily schedule. The themes play out primarily in our evening activity and in mealtime skits during the week. The rest of our camp day is largely the same every week. In the morning, campers have Bible and elective classes. In the afternoon, campers have rest time, free time, and activity time with their own cabin. After the evening meal, campers participate in a large group game or activity that is tied to the weekly theme and then they end the day with a chapel service.

If you are 16 years of age (or have completed 10th grade) and are considering a future in leadership or summer camp counseling, we highly recommend this program! The CIT program is 3 weeks of hands-on leadership training, giving you beneficial experiences and helpful preparation for the future leader. There are 2 weeks of training that focuses on spiritual growth, building counseling skills and leadership training as you prepare for the last week, which consists of staying in a cabin and assisting counselors with younger campers and program-related tasks. This program really gives you a taste of what summer camp counseling (and ministry in general) is all about. Whether you are looking at a future in summer camp ministry or any kind of leadership, this program is the perfect way to prepare and looks great on your future college application or resume! A certificate of completion will be provided for campers who complete this program. In between each week, CIT’s will go home from Saturday to Sunday.
